Jellystone Park in Waller Wins Award for Excellence in Camping Industry

Waller, TX (May 13, 2008) – The Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Waller has been recognized with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Jellystone Park franchise system. The award is given to the Camp-Resort that showed the strongest growth in business over the prior year. It was presented at the annual meeting of the Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort group in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Located 35 miles northwest of Houston, the Waller Camp-Resort has experienced large revenue growth since being purchased in 2005 by Bryant Management. The growth has been spurred by major facility improvements including a new comfort station complete with a snack bar, restrooms, game room and cartoon theater; 25 new cabins and 50 additional full hook-up RV sites; and a water playground containing the new Serpent Water Slide – 180 feet of twisting, turning excitement.

“As a newer park in the Jellystone family, we’re so proud of our recent recognitions from Leisure Systems,” said park owner Bruce Bryant. “It’s our goal to provide a unique, family-friendly atmosphere to Waller and our surrounding areas, and these awards prove that we’ve been successful so far.”

Recreation directors at the Jellystone Park Lonestar Campground keep things hopping all year long with planned activities and themed weekends.
