Leisure Systems, Inc. Hires Palmeri Team as Directors of Franchise Sales
Industry veterans use personal and industry experience to promote Jellystone Parks
Feb. 1, 2008 – Leisure Systems, Inc. (LSI), franchiser of 73 Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts in the United States and Canada, hopes to again expand its roster this year with the help of two new Directors of Franchise Sales – Kathy and Tony Palmeri.
The Palmeri’s have been involved with the Jellystone Park franchise system since converting their campground to a Jellystone Park in 1997. “They know the business inside and out, and who better to sell the benefits of family fun and camping with Yogi than a franchisee,” said Rob Schutter, Leisure System's President and COO.
As Directors of Franchise Sales, the team will attend state and national conventions and trade shows to connect with campgrounds and RV parks across the United States and Canada.
Kathy Palmeri has been active in the industry for more than a decade. She served on the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds board for nine years, two of which she served as its Chairman. She has also participated on local, state and national boards, including the Colorado Campground and Lodging Owners Association, the National Federation of Independent Business Advisory Council for Colorado, the Estes Park Chamber Resort Association and the Colorado Tourism Office.
Tony, self-employed nearly all of his life, owned a wholesale bakery for 30 years. He entered the campground business in 1994 when he and Kathy purchased what would soon become Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park of Estes, Colorado.
“We’re so excited to be telling the camping industry about the Jellystone Park family,” Kathy said. “Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts represent so many things – cleanliness, amenities, family fun, planned activities for campers of all ages, and, of course, Yogi Bear.”
“We also bring a unique perspective to the table,” Tony added. “We know first-hand what it’s like to operate a Jellystone Park, and we understand what’s involved in transforming a campground to become a franchisee.”

Additionally, each Jellystone Park is themed with Yogi Bear elements providing instant recognition and consumer appeal. It is truly a place “Where You Camp With Friends.”®
